Signage & Workshop at the Chicago Children's Museum
The Children's Museum on Navy Pier has expanded, creating new amazing spaces for the kids to be creative! I was honored to be asked to help contribute to some of the signage for the new Art Studio space!
Art Director Jenny Schrider came to my workshop, and together impressed the clay to make this large format tile!
We chose to use natural objects found in our gardens to enhance and showcase the raw nature of the clay.
The biggest challenge of this project was tending to the drying over a long period of time....and carefully. carefully. getting it into the kiln without cracking.

Thursday, Aug 16: 4:30- 8; workshops at 5:30 & 6:30
Saturday, Aug 18: 12:30- 5; workshops at 1, 2, 3 & 4
Sunday, Aug 19: 10- 3:30; workshops at 10:30, 11:30, 1 & 2 (small break from 12:30-1)
